Bio
Eileen R. Smith, 88, of Cheyenne passed away at Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness Center on June 22, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1936 in Ord, NE. She was a homemaker, and very involved with various committees at Holy Trinity Church. She was an avid University of Wyoming and Notre Dame fan, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Kristi) Smith, Janet (Ken) Sherman; granddaughter Allee (Ryan) Birdwell; grandsons Jason Joyce and Ryan Joyce; step-grandchildren Brenden (Mikayla) Rageth, Kayli (Michael) Leonard, and Britten Rageth. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Carleigh and Braylen Birdwell and step-grandchildren, Braxten and Brixley Rageth, and Tess, Lewis and Howard Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Smith; a daughter, Sandra; parents William and Marie Suchanek; and brother Kenny Suchanek. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or St. Mary's School. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on July 14th, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Olivet Cemetery. Services are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home and condolences may be offered at www.schradercares.com.
