Bio
Francis Osentowski, D.M.A., was born Oct. 14, 1943 in Richmond, California, to Dr. F.J. and Dorothy Osentowski and passed away July 27, 2023 after suffering a stroke. Fondly called "Dr. O" for more than 40 years by his Dallas County Community College students, he loved teaching, playing and composing music, coaching, golfing, the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys and above all, his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Osentowski, his children Tagni McRae and Chris Osentowski (Tam), and his four grandchildren whom he adored: Graeme McRae, Keira McRae, Franklin Osentowski and Faye Osentowski, also survived by brother, Rich Osentowski (Karen). His family and friends will miss his humor, kindness, story-telling and sage advice. They will cherish and carry memories of him forever. Services will be in the Memorial Chapel at Restland on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 at 2 p.m. Central.
