In Loving Memory of Margaret Vitovsky March 16, 1931 – June 20, 2025 Margaret Josephine (Vrana) Vitovsky went to meet her Heavenly Father on June 20, 2025 at the age of 94. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Margaret was the heart and soul of our family whose gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her. Born on March 16, 1931 in Ennis, Texas, Margaret was the daughter of Joe Vrana and Annie (Faraizl) Vrana. Margaret attended St. John's Catholic School and lived a life marked by her faith, kindness and devotion to God. With a passion for Polka music and dancing, she met her husband Ralph Vitovsky of Kaufman, Texas and they married on June 6, 1953. They moved to Dallas, Texas where they started a family and joined St. Monica Church to raise their children in the Catholic faith and were long time parishioners. Margaret was a woman of unconditional love and warmth. She nurtured her family and friends who surrounded her, always ready to give a helping hand, a listening ear, and a heart full of compassion. As a mother, she gave everything to her children, always putting their needs above her own. Her love was unwavering, her wisdom vast, and her wonderfully crafted meals and homemade treats will stay with us. She also embraced the role of grandmother with the same tender devotion, offering her grandchildren a treasure trove of stories, lessons and Czech Kolaches as her legacy. Ralph and Margaret retired to the family ranch in Kaufman, Texas surrounded by the peace of nature and the cattle calling in the horizon. She enjoyed family gatherings and putting the old smoker to full capacity with brisket to welcome guests with her serving of southern hospitality and cuisine. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Vitovsky, parents Annie and Joe Vrana, and brothers Albin and George Vrana. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00am in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
