Memorial service for Theresa J. Tucker, 69, of Norfolk, will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Rev. Terry Buol. Burial will take place at a later date at Best Cemetery, Norfolk. Theresa died on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Bryan East Medical Center, Lincoln, NE. Theresa was born on December 3, 1955, in Madison, NE to Edwin and Mary (Knapp) Smutny. She attended Madison Public Schools, graduating from Madison High School in 1974. Theresa married Ward Tucker on August 28, 1987. They lived North of Battle Creek for 38 years. Theresa enjoyed yard work, tending to her flowers, decorating, celebrating holidays, baking, spending time with family, whether it was her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, or nieces and nephews. Theresa is survived by her loving husband Ward Tucker of Norfolk, children: Adam (Chelsea) Tucker of Meadow Grove, Aaron (Mary) Tucker of Denton, Ashley Tucker and Isaac Brown of Norfolk, Alex Tucker and Taylor Wiemers of Battle Creek, seven grandchildren: Lillee, Axton, Ashton, Avalyn, Alexus, Ayvah, Kylo, siblings and in-laws: Jim Smutny of Madison, Rita (Jim) Creps of Fremont, Rosie (Kevin) Kenny of Norfolk, Lenny (Jan) Smutny of Albion, Vicky (Al) Demmel of Madison, and Susie Nathan of Madison. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Mary, sister Pat (Leo) Reznicek, brother Rudy Smutny, and brother-in-law Jack Nathan.
