TOPEKAN KILLED! Joe Frank, Iowa Guardsman, Hit by a Train. Was Guarding a Rock Island Bridge at Des Moines. Des Moines, Ia., May 19 -- Joe Frank, private Company B. Iowa National Guard, whose parents reside at Topeka, Kan., was killed by a Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific train at a bridge near Des Moines Friday. Frank was on guard duty at the bridge There is only one Joe Frank listed in the city directory. He was a cigar maker for R. T. Kreipe and left Topeka about two years ago. He was about nineteen years of age at the time he resided in Topeka. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frank, 222? North Branner Street. They could not be located this afternoon. Jacob Frank is a laborer at the Santa Fe Shops. TDSD, 19 May 1915
