Bio

John Vick, 80, of Weatherford, died Friday in a local hospital. He was a native of Parker County, born in the Borden Community east of Weatherford. A long-time resident of the city, he operated service stations on Fort Worth and Palo Pinto streets. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge over 25 years and a member of Santa Fe Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marie Kearby Vick of Weatherford; two sons, Royce Allen Vick of Fort Worth and Michael Ray Vick of Washington, D.C. ; a daughter, Billie Juanita Williams of Midlothian; a brother, Weldon Vick of Lamesa, California; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Service are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Cotton-Bratton Funeral Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Cotton-Bratton is in charge of arrangements. Weatherford Democrat, 17 Dec 1990
