Jan Sivek was born about 1826 in Hovezi, Vsetin, Czechoslovakia, married Anna Randysek on 11 Feb 1850 in Hovezi. He died there and would be buried in the St. Mari Magdalena Catholic Church Cemetery. The family lived in House # 117 in Hovězí. His parents were Katharine Janus & Paul Sivek and lived at House # 117. Anna, 60 yrs with all her living children arrived in New York Port on 1 August 1891, then to Texas. Known children: Jan Franc Sivek, 1857-1941 m. 26 May 1879,Anna Sula 1859 Hovězí # 91 Anna Sivek, 1863-1942 m. 26 May 1879 , Josef Sula 1856-1909 Veronika "Vera" Sivek, 1866-1940, m. 4 Nov 1884,Josef Zavodny Josef Sivek, 1871-1872, died 1 yr. 9 mos. in Hovězí (Please note there may have been additional children that may have died in infancy as gaps in children 's births.) Jan Franc & Anna Sivek married siblings Anna and Josef Sula on the same day at St. Mari Magdalena Catholic Church, Hovězí, Vsetín, Czech Republic. The Sula family lived in House # 91.
