He was the son of Joseph D. and Jettie M. Brown. He married Ruth Helen Nash on Oct. 3, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a paint contractor. ∼ Graveside memorial services and ash burial for Jesse Brown, 78, of Weimar, formerly of Rye, will be held at 2 p.m. May 3, 2003, in Peebles Cemetery. Mr. Brown died April 15 at his residence in Weimar. He was born Oct. 20, 1924 in Blackfoot, the son of Joseph D. and Jettie M. Brown. He married Ruth Helen Nash on Oct. 3, 1942 in San Antonio. Mr. Brown was a paint contractor and a master Mason at South Houston Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years on Nov. 18, 1998. He was also preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and one grandson, Jesse Randal Schmitz. Survivors include his son, James M. Brown and wife Grace of Weimar; daughters, Patricia C. Brown and husband Mike of Weimar, Donna Taylor and husband Robert of Seguin and Juanell Schwarzkopf and husband Gary of Seguin; brothers, Bill Gage of California and Billy Brown of Strasburg, Va.; sister, Sue Huston of California; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and special friend, Midge Curtis.
