Death of Mrs. Coffeen Woodford County Journal Thursday May 14, 1931 page 1 Mrs. W. D. Coffeen died at her home in Chicago on April 8, at the age of 81 years. She had been in failing health since last October; pneumonia developed one week previous to her death, which was the immediate cause of her death. Mrs. Coffeen was the daughter of James and Mary Burton, who preceded her in death many years ago. She spent her childhood and grew to womanhood in Eureka, and will be remembered by the older residents of Woodford county. She was preceded in death by her husband, and also by an only daughter, Olive, who died just 13 months before her mother. She is survived by and only son, Charles, with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, and also two brothers, Jo and Frank Burton of Chicago. Funeral services were held at the home on Friday, April 10, and burial was in a Chicago cemetery by the side of her husband and daughter.
