Bio

She was born in Texas & married Clarence Oscar Murray around 1920. He is found in two census records. First, he is found living with his parents, 25 years old and single. Secondly, he is the head of the home, 25, married to Goldie who is 17. Also in the home is another head of house John H and Yula Pawell with four kids. On August 22, 1920, there is a birth record for Clarence and Goldie for a male, A. A Murray (later referred to as Alonzo & George). The 1920 census are the last time we see Goldie and Clarence living together. Although in the 1930s and 40s census they both still say they are married. Clarence is in the 1930 census living in Cooke County, married, living with his parents and Richard who is 14. Goldie is in Tioga which is in Grayson County,Texas. She is 28 and married the head of her household. Her son George who is nine, daughter Mildred who is six, and her mother Nancy Chatham who is 70, are living in the house. In the 1940 census, Clarence is the head of the house, 45 years old, married and his dad Joseph Oscar,73, is living with him. They are living in Denton County, Texas. This same year Goldie is in the census in Tioga. She is 38, married & head of her household. The census says she has lived at the same house since 1935. She is with Alonzo who is 19, Mildred who was 16. Their home is not a farm and they own their house.
