Bio
Daughter of Levi W. Wilkerson and his first wife, Elizabeth Eden. Since she is not on the 1870 census, and is 9 years old in 1880 census, she was probably born in 1870-1871. It appears that after his wife had died, he took Mary Ellen and went to live with his cousin, Marcus Day in Missouri. He married his second wife, Isabella Shelton, Aug. 1, 1880 in Bollinger County, and he and his new wife went to Kansas between 1900 and 1910.
