Wayne Edward Rauschuber November 14, 1940 – November 18, 2017 Wayne Rauschuber, age 77, went to be with his Father in heaven on November 18th, 2017. Wayne was born on November 11, 1940 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Edward and Florence Rauschuber. Wayne grew up in San Antonio with his 6 siblings and graduated from Central Catholic High School. After High School, Wayne attended college for one semester before joining the US Navy. Wayne was in the Navy for 4 years followed by 4 years in the Navy Reserves. After his service in the Navy, Wayne worked for Texas Instruments for two years before accepting a job at IBM. After 30 years, Wayne retired from IBM on November 30, 1996 and went to work for USAA for 5 years. Wayne loved all sports, especially baseball and the San Antonio Spurs. He was a Life Member of Contract Bridge for over 35 years and thoroughly enjoyed playing and teaching others to play. He was an active member of the University Baptist Church and enjoyed studying the word of the Lord. Wayne is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cathy; his children, David and Gabby Rauschuber, Brian and Donna Rauschuber, John and Dani Rauschuber, Michelle and Rick Reeves and Jennifer and Trey Delmark; 6 brothers and sisters; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his brothers and sisters in Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence Rauschuber. Memorial Services for Wayne Rauschuber will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at University Baptist Church, 6465 Babcock Rd. San Antonio 78249. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Wayne's memory can be made to the University Baptist Church building fund or a charity of your choice.
