Bio
James Longley was the son of William C. Longley and Mary Ann 'Bodene' Longley. He married Nancy 'Long' Longley in Sevier County, Tennessee, circa 1815. Nancy being the daughter of Rev. George Long 1 and Nancy Elizabeth 'Maples' Long. James and Nancy had 14 known children: Nancy William George Washington Sarah James John Thomas Jefferson Malinda There were 4 daughter's names unknown, also 2 son's with names unknown. NOTE: A George Washington, after her father, also a John, but no Edward? Research is being done at this time to find exactly when and where Nancy died and is buried? The last baby was born in 1845 and she is listed in her father's Will in 1849. NOTE: Research being done has led this researcher to Massachusetts. A James Longley and wife Nancy is listed living in Springfield, Hampden Co. Ma. This James is listed as being a Cotton Carder. It seems they had two children here. One in 1844 named Malinda and another daughter, born the 24th of May, 1847 named Elizabeth. More research will continue on this new Find. After the death of Nancy 'Long' Longley, James remarried. James married Mariah Frances 'Haddock' Longley. To this union there were 6 children born: Jess Hugh James Earl Preston David Martha Ann Malissa Elizabeth Lewis Houston
