"Don" Conner will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at the First Christian Church in Tahlequah. PaPa left this world peacefully, with his family by his side, to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005. He was born on June 6, 1927, to Charlie and Opal Winkle Conner in Beggs, Okla. Dad, PaPa, your big heart and great sense of humor will live on in us forever and we will never stop missing you. Survivors include his "Doll" of 55 years, Mary Nell "Nanny," of the home; daughters, Robin King and husband Marshall, Oklahoma City, Tammy Sanders, Ringling; son, DJ and wife Audra Smoke Conner of Beggs; his "3rd" daughter, Summer Conner Hogshooter and her husband, Bobby, Tahlequah; grandchildren, Trey, Lynsey and Macey Conner, Alek Hogshooter, Carley Sanders, Katy and Seth Waters; sister, Jackie Conner Sands, Tulsa; half-sister Glenda Cummings, Kansas; and half-brother, Keith Conner, Locust Grove. The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at Tahlequah City Hospital and Carter Hospice for the compassion they extended in their care and concern for PaPa. Green Country Funeral Home will direct services.
