According to US WWII Army Enlistment Records, he enlisted 16 Nov 1943 at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He married Alta Pluma Griffin. They had at least three children: Stella Donna born in Bexar Co, TX and Patricia Ann and Edward Oliver, Jr born in Dallas Co, TX.
