Bio

Larry Wayne Schirpik passed away May 22, 2022, at his home in Round Rock, Texas. He was born to Ben and Mary Kelm Schirpik on 2/27/1944 in Taylor, Texas. Larry and his family were charter members of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Round Rock. He was a teacher and coach in the AISD for 30 years and touched many young lives during that time. His great love was his wife, his two sons and daughter in laws, his grand and great grandchildren and they all in turn loved "crazy funny Pop". Larry is survived by his wife Linda Melde Schirpik, sons Richard and Travis (Gwen) Schirpik, and his grand and great grandchildren. He is also survived by Sisters Evelyn Botts, Bennie (Floyd) Chambers and Artie Stockton, Brother Frank Schirpik, and many extended Schirpik and Melde family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Mary Schirpik , his sister Pauline Rendor, his daughter in law Kim Schirpik, and his in laws Leon and Betty Melde as well as numerous brother and sister in laws and nieces. There will be a visitation at Beck Funeral Home in Round Rock on May 26,2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Round Rock on May 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The family would like to thank Hospice of Austin for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
