Johnson, Orena Mae MALAKOFF - Services for Orena Mae Johnson, 94, Malakoff, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Home chapel, Athens. Burial will be in Ash Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died July 9, 2008, in Athens. She was born Oct. 10, 1913, in Sanger to the late Robert and Elizabeth Medlin Reese. She attended schools in Roanoke and lived in Athens for many years where she was owner of Cookie's Café. She also worked with Park Highland Nursing Home and Henderson County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of West Athens Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Johnson in 1962. Survivors include daughters, Wanda Kamman, Malakoff, Linda Crawford and Cathie Burns, both of Athens, and Debbie Mayhugh, Texarkana; son, J.T. Johnson, Malakoff; nine grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on 7/11/2008
