Bio
Garland Terrance Cooper, Terry or Coop to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on April 14, 2025 surrounded by his family after an arduous battle with esophageal cancer. Born on September 8, 1949 in Mobile, Alabama, Terry was a University of Alabama graduate (Roll Tide!) successful international businessman, sports enthusiast and devoted husband, dad, papa and brother. Terry was an avid golfer and tennis player and played the sports he loved until the very end. He loved watching all sports, especially the sporting events of his kids and grandkids. He was the master of a well-timed joke, commander of any television remote, and loved a good bourbon drink. Terry is preceded in death by his mother Carol Loest Cooper, father Nolan Pier Cooper and brother Kim Cooper. A celebration of Terry's life will be held on Friday, April 18, at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, Alabama. The visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., with the memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice in Terry's name. Though we are heartbroken, we are grateful for the time we had with the best husband, dad, papa and brother. We take comfort knowing he is resting peacefully and cherish the memories we made together. Obituary published to the website of Mack Funeral Home 16 April 2025.
