When Clark Hough Thompson and his twin brother Clyde Carl were born on September 18, 1877, in Fremont, Iowa, their father, John, was 49, and their mother, Mary, was 38. He had six brothers and one sister. He died on January 5, 1948, in Stanton, California, at the age of 70. Clark H. Thompson, 70, of 8202 Starr St., Stanton, died Jan. 5 1948 at his home. He was born in Eastport, Iowa, and came to Los Angeles and San Diego in 1922, moving to Long Beach in 1944, and had resided in Stanton two months. He spent most of his life in Chicago, where he was a printer, and was employed with the Seaside Printing Co. until 1945, when he retired. He worked for 20 years on the Chicago Tribune, 18 years on the San Diego Tribune, and two years in Long Beach. He belonged to Long Beach local No. 650, I. T. U. Surviving are the widow, Mary A.; a daughter, Mrs. Helen B. Daley of Stanton; brothers, Clyde Thompson of Husum, Wash and Will Thompson of Meridian, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Lola Lovell of Canon City, Colo.
