Odell O. Mattox was born on August 22, 1937 to William Clifford Mattox and Bertha Violeta Rich Mattox. Odell was one of at least four children. His siblings include: James Clifford Mattox and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, J.C. Mattox.
