Bio

William G. Witty, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 3, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1938 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late Clell Witty and Inus Helen Witty. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Witty; children, Robyn, Chris, Adrienne, Daniel, and Matt; grandchildren, Zach, KaDee, Dilyn, Dalton, Shelby, Brookly, Kalli, and Reigan; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ivy, Logan, and Blair; brothers, Greg (June) Witty and Jeff (Terri) Witty; sisters, Cora Sue, Hilda (Johnny) Walden, Teresa (Julis) Myatt, and Sherry (Mike) Hassell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. tonight 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 with a funeral service being conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center - 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood.
