Bio
Minnie Prather, 87, died Oct. 15, 1992, in the Sayre Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Oct. 19 at the Sayre First Baptist Church with Tom Cooksey officiating and Lynn Heard assisting. Burial was in the Delhi Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. Mrs. Prather, the daughter of Cynthia Florida and William David Ford, was born on Feb. 10, 1905 in Delhi. She married Foy Gilbert Prather on Oct. 5, 1928, in Sayre. She taught school at Northland, Choctaw, Dabney and Delhi and was a member of the Sayre First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jerry; two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Donna Prather of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Nicole Prather of Taos, N.M. and Neely Prather of Amarillo; two sisters, Juanita Neal of Modesto, Calif., and Lola Potts of Sayre; three brothers, Ernest Ford of Federal Way, Wash., Ocie Ford of Jayton, Tex., and Eldon Ford of Bothell, Wash.; and several other relatives and friends.
