PAWNEE REPUBLICAN (Pawnee City, Nebraska)- Thursday, December 16, 1971- Page 5. MRS. GRACE FURMAN Mrs. Grace Furman of Fairbury, Nebr., died Nov. 12, 1971 at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years, four months and 18 days. Grace Leona Clark, oldest of the four children of Edgar Eugene Clark and Ida A. Morrison Clark, was born June 25, 1887 in the Clear Creek community in Nemaha County, Kansas. On Jan. 20, 1906, she married Frank Tucker of Pawnee County, Nebr. To them was born a son, Morris Clark Tucker. On Feb. 6, 1918, she married William M. Furman of Thompson, where the couple lived for a number of years. She taught school in the Thompson vicinity, then moved back to the Humboldt-Table Rock area. They moved to California and later returned to Humboldt-Table Rock area. After the death of her husband in December, 1961, she moved to Fairbury to live with her brother, Clifford Clark. She was active in the church, attending faithfully when her health permitted. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Herbert G. Clark, one sister, Mrs. Maude Clark Johnson, and her husband, William. Surviving are her son, Morris c. Tucker, Pocatello, Ida.; brother, Clifford Clark, Fairbury; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Nov. 15 with Ronald Heins and Barry Trent officiating in the Traum-Vance-Gerdes chapel. Mrs. Lloyd Scarrow was soloist. Pallbearers were N. L. Hendricks, Karl Oeltjen, Ray Arnold, Herbert Asendorf, Harold Churchill and Lee Roy Pig. Interment was in the Fairbury Cemetery.
