Betty June (June Bug) Wells, 82, passed away peacefully with family and friends around her on March 9, 2025, in Odessa, Texas. She was the Rock of her family, not only was she a mother, but she was their friend, protector and number 1 supporter. She was nurturing and would do anything for them. She was a true friend to many and loved them with all her heart. She truly loved her pet Bonnie and enjoyed taking her out on her daily walks. Betty was born July 8, 1942, to John Barnett Hardin, Jr. And Virgil Estelle Hardin in Sulpfur Springs, Texas. Throughout her life she worked in the banking industry climbing her way up the ladder by becoming the Vice President of West Texas Educators Credit Union before retiring. Betty is preceded in death by her Parents John Barnett Hardin, Jr. And Virgil Estelle Hardin and sister Nancy Farris Betty is survived by her sons Johnny Wells (Pam) of Claremore, Oklahoma and Shane Wells (Tracy) Odessa, Texas, daughters Kelly Wells Farmer(Steve )of Odessa, Texas and Mandy Wells Pace (Brandon) of Andrews, Texas, Brother Don VanZandt of Whitesboro, Texas, Sisters TexAnn Templeton of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Donna Nance of Odessa, Texas 7 grandkids-Laura Payne , Eric Wells, Bridgette Sieckmann, Kevin Whitley, Bryce Pace, Alex Wells and Hannah Wells. Betty was blessed with 8 Great Grandkids-Ashtin and Averi Wells, Paisley Jackson, Kylee Payne, Braden and Bowen Whitley, Blake Sieckmann and Dallyn Pace. We would like to give special thanks to her care givers over the past 2 months Donnah Haley, Angels Care Hospice and Interim Healthcare & Hospice In Lieu of flowers you may donate to Angel Care Hospice, Interim Healthcare & Hospice or Shriners Hospital Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025, At Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
