He was born on January 20, 1935, in Wapanucka, Oklahoma, and lived a life characterized by hard work, integrity, and a deep affection for his family. Known for his honest demeanor and exceptional work ethic, Houston made a lasting impact in his career, earning the respect of his colleagues and peers in the pipeline industry. He was a man who cherished his family, delighting in spoiling his nieces and nephews. Houston was an avid gardener, often sharing his produce with others, and enjoyed going fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lena Jackman, and five brothers and sisters: Jackie Jackman, Lena Watson, Burl Jackman, Carolyn Couch, and Joyce Adams.
