Wallace Lee Spencer, known to many as "W.L.", 87, of Harwood, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2025, in Kyle, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on March 18, 1937, to his parents Faye Esther Kirk Spencer and Allen William Spencer in Harwood, Texas. W.L., married Sue Ella Thorpe in 1956. Together they shared 68 wonderful years together and raised their three children, Gary, Dennis and Stephanie. Above all, he appreciated the value of having a family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren, for any achievement they reached, he was there to cheer them on. He was a hard worker; he worked as a petroleum operator for Phillips in Sweeny, Texas and Arthur Brothers in Wadsworth, Texas. He also worked in construction and his last place of employment was working in the greenhouses as a supervisor for the Kactus Korral in Harwood. W.L, was a master builder, he could also fix anything you put in front of him, he was your "Mr. Fix-It". He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was also a proud American and supporter of the MAGA movement. He is survived by his wife Sue Ella Spencer, his children Gary Spencer (Anna), Dennis Spencer (Susan) and Stephanie Targac (David), his 5 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and granddaughter Keila Marie Spencer. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 09, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Allen Davis beginning at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Harwood Cemetery. Pallbearers include Gary Spencer, Dennis Spencer, David Targac, Joshua Spencer, Spencer Targac, Byron Black, Dustin O'Connell and Stevie Davidek. Honorary pallbearers include Elizabeth Black, Sarah Power, Blair O'Connell and Rachel Targac.
