Emma Rowena Radican Blackburn, age 99, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She was born April 3,1922 in Ridgeway, Hopkins County, Texas to Claude Rooker and Ada Iva (Patterson) Radican. Emma married Wallace Blackburn on November 10, 1962. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ada Radican; her husband, Wallace Blackburn; her son, Mike McDonald; brothers, Bud Radican, Billy Radican and Bobby Radican; sisters, Georgia Radican and Mary Welch. Emma is survived by her daughter, Robin Blackburn of Mt. Vernon, Texas; granddaughter, Chalee Hardee of Mt Vernon, Texas; grandson, Michael McDonald of Mt. Vernon, Texas; special nieces, Debbie Richards of Pittsburg, Texas and Loretta Patterson of Waxahachie, Texas. Graveside services will be held December 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Mt Vernon City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home. Obit From Sam B. Harvey F. H. Mt. Vernon,TX.
