James C. Asmus, age 50, of Council Bluffs, passed away September 2, 2011, in Omaha, Neb.Jim was born July 29, 1961, in Omaha, to the late Robert C. "Doc" and Lucy (Uhlarik) Asmus. He graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1979. He is survived by his sister, Julia (James) Johnson; niece, Katie; and nephew, Nikohlas, all of Council Bluffs. Memorial visitation, Wednesday, 4 to 6 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. A reception will follow at the Pizza King. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
