Bio

Howard Hanson, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 8, 2025. Howard William Hanson was born on November 26, 1937 in Taylor to Herbert and Angelina (Jarosek) Hanson. He grew up alongside his older brother and younger sister, cherishing the bonds of family from an early age. A proud graduate of Taylor High School's Class of 1955. Howard later ventured to California, where he pursued his passions for the culinary arts and acting. In his later years, he found joy in oil painting and remained a devoted fan of the Texas Longhorns. Above all, Howard treasured his faith, his family, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Herbert (Renee) Hanson, his sister, Barbara Thomas, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
