Bryant, Vrginia Ruth "Jennie" ANNA - Jennie Bryant died at her home June 6, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 21, 1919 to Henry Washington (Doc) and Jewell Tillett Hendricks in Anna. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William C (Bill) Bryant. After raising two children, she worked in Van Alstyne for Dr. Sporer for many years until his retirement and then for the First National Bank in Anna until she retired. She is survived by her children: Linda Kay O'Neal and husband Bo of Anna; Bill Bryant and wife Debbie of Mansfield; seven grandchildren: Bryant O'Neal and wife Anita; Kelly O'Neal; Jason O'Neal and wife Amy; Billy Carson Bryant and wife Margaret; Dr. Jana Bryant; Christopher Moretti and Gina Moretti; six great-grandchildren: Patrick O'Neal; Kyle Mason; Megan O'Neal; Logan Humphrey; Collin O'Neal and Miles O'Neal; one sister, Betty Dunn; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Very special thanks are extended to care givers and friends Faye Patrick and Mary Compton, Freda York, and Anita Lemmond. Jennie was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Anna. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Don Stockford. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Anna or to the American Cancer Society. Published in The Herald Democrat from 6/9/2008 - 6/10/2008.
