Bio
A Mass of Christian Burial for Stanley L. Grygar, 93, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple. Burial of ashes will be 2:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Cyclone. Mr. Grygar died Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Temple. He was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Oenaville to Joe and Marie Hanacik Grygar. He attended school in Oenaville and Lost Prairie, then graduated from Temple High School in 1949. He served in the Army. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, and KJT. He married Joyce Ann Divis on Nov. 22, 1955, in Temple, and she preceded him in death on May 3, 2009. Survivors include four sons, Mark Grygar to Justin, Brian Grygar of Lorena, Randy Grygar of Red Ranger and Kevin Grygar of Bryan; a daughter, Carrice Dunnahoo of Belton; a sister, Marguerite Angeline Plowman of Weatherford; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Luke Catholic Church or St. Luke Building Fund, 2807 Oakdale, Temple, TX 76502; any Alzheimer's Association, or any Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association; or to any charity. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Parish Hall in Cyclone. Temple Daily Telegram. Monday, February 24, 2025.
