Catherine Frances Guthrie, 83, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008, at a local hospital. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Catherine was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Fort Worth to Frances and Frank Provasek. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. She worked as a cosmetologist for five years while she was a fulltime mother and homemaker. Catherine was a devoted member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Les Guthrie, in 1999. Survivors: Son, Don W. Guthrie and wife, Ruth Ann, of Colleyville; daughter, Kathy Ann Parker of Euless; grandsons, Monty W. Guthrie and wife, Suzannah, of Grapevine, Ronnie D. Parker and wife, Deborah, of Chicago, Ill., David Carter and wife, Debbie, of Richland Hills; great-grandchildren, Jadon, Jenna, Jakob, Joshua, Leslie, Allison, Kambry, Hollie and Andrea; sister, Mary L. Dollar; nieces, Elizabeth Mokaren and husband, Dennis, and Carolyn Hutchinson and husband, Brian; and nephews, David Morrow and wife, Lillia, and Frank Provasek.
