Obituary (from the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home website): Linda Jane Chilton Close of Garland, Texas passed away February 16, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born to Eugene Chilton and Ouida Chilton Pittman on March 16, 1942, in Melissa, Texas. Linda was a graduate of McKinney High School. She married Donald Close on June 10, 1960, in McKinney, Texas. Linda enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed crafting. Linda is survived by her daughter, Becky McAllister and husband, Eddie of Wylie, Texas; son, Charles Close of Corinth, Texas; grandson, Joshua Braswell and wife Amber of Caddo Mills, Texas; grandson, Jacob Braswell and girlfriend Alexis of Wylie, Texas; great grandson, Aidan Braswell of Mexico; great granddaughter, Avery Braswell (due any minute) of Wylie, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Chilton and Ouida Chilton Pittman; husband, Don Close; sister, Norma Walden; sister, Joan Rutledge; and brother, Larry Chilton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
