Bio
Funeral services for Cynthia Jane Carter, 78, of Wisner, will be held 2 pm Saturday January 25, 2025, in the chapel of Dennard First National Funeral Home with Rev. James Harris officiating. Interment will follow in South Central Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Jane was born November 26, 1946 and passed from this life on January 23, 2025, at Plantation Oaks Nursing Center in Wisner. Jane was a member of Apostolic Faith Chapel in Gilbert. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph T. Hale, Sr. and Rose Mary Dukes; and her husband Charles Carter. Those left to cherish her memory include her nephews: Tommy Stephens and wife Teri, Bruce Stephens and wife Mistie, and Mel Stephens and wife Nikki; niece, Sondra Wright; friends Butch and Jan Simms, Kenneth and Shirley Ferguson and her Apostolic Faith Chapel church family. Pallbearers will be Bubba Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Chris Hawthorne, Bubba Toney, Elbert Wallace, and Tim Wolleson. Honorary pallbearer will be Tinker Roberts.
