Kadavy, 88 of Weston, NE entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. She was born on the family farm near Abie, NE on May 26, 1936 to Frank and Emma (Schmid) Humlicek. She attended Nimburg Country School District #38 north of Abie. In her youth she was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Abie where she was a member of the choir and the Catholic Youth Organization. Bonnie married Raymond Kadavy on September 9, 1954 in Abie. From this union eight children were born. Shortly after the wedding the couple moved to a farm outside of Weston, NE. After Raymond died unexpectedly in 1982 due to a heart attack, Bonnie became the CEO of farm operations and kept the farm going with the help from her son Ron. She also worked for Platte Valley Foods in Wahoo and Henningsen egg processing in David City all while helping with the chores, in the fields and with livestock. She remained on the farm until a week before she passed away. She was a devoted member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, past president of the PCCW, past president of American Legion Post #308 Auxiliary, and past vice president of the Rosary Sodality. She also belonged to the Pink Sisters Auxiliary and the Red Cross phone team. She enjoyed Czech music, old country classics, baking, gardening and feeding stray animals. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by her children, Kathy Hajek, Marge (Glen) Wirka, Steve (Shelly) Kadavy, Marvin Kadavy, Charlene Kadavy, Ron (Marquita) Kadavy, Mary (Todd) Fauver, JoAnn (Ben) Hirsch; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rita and Nadine Humlicek; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kadavy; parents, Frank and Emma Humlicek; brothers, Frank (Agnes), George, Victor, Rudy (Harriett) and Eddie Humlicek; granddaughter, Amy Hajek.
