Gerald was born on October 31, 1955, to the late Floyd Lee Slocum, Sr., and Julia K. Ferrell Slocum in Texas. Gerald was in the Navy and worked as an Aviation Store Keeper. Gerald is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Slocum, children Gerald Slocum, Jr., Barbara Jean Slocum, Amanda Donofrio Beatty, Devan Donofrio Owens, Julia Slocum-Coffey, and seven grandchildren.
