Philippians 1:21 Children Dorothy Jane Zeleny Silver (1943 - ____) Barbara Ann Zeleny (1946 - ____) Park Ridge Herald-Advocate (IL) June 14, 2001 Helen (nee Pratt) Zeleny, 87, of Park Ridge died June 9 in her home. Mrs. Zeleny worked at both Maine East and Maine South High Schools and retired as first registrar at Maine South. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Park Ridge for more than 50 years. A lover of music, she sang in church choirs for most of her life. She also was involved in playing and conducting handbell choirs. Mrs. Zeleny volunteered for more than 22 years at Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre, Morton Grove. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred, she is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Silver and Barbara Zeleny; and grandchildren, Glenn and Paula Silver. Funeral service was held on June 13 in Drake & Son Funeral Home, Park Ridge. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Donations may be made to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Hwy., Suite 145, Park Ridge.
