The Mexia Daily News (Mexia,Texas) Monday, June 24, 1974; Page 5, Column 4 "G.C. Gregory Dies Sunday In Houston Funeral services for G. C. Gregory, 86, of Waco and formerly of Teague will be Tuesday at 2 in the Lawrence Funeral Chapel in Teague. -- The Rev James Dammon and the Rev. H. L. McKissack will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. -- Born April 4, 1888 in Van Alstyne, Mr. Gregory was retired from the Teague Independent School District after serving 28 years as High School principal. He was a member of the Teague First Baptist Church and had lived in Teague for 48 years. -- Survivors include two daughters, Clara Gregory of Austin and Mrs. Lorna Felton of Houston; a son, Carlile Gregory of Hartsville, S. C."
