Bio

Odessia "Sweet" Enox, 88, of Anton, TX passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in Anton, TX. She was born November 17, 1936 to Herbert Clayborn Kesey and Julia Etta (Kesey) Owens in Lindsay, OK. Sweet married Tommy Leroy Enox on February 15, 1964, in Anton, TX where the couple made their home. She was a homemaker, but she also enjoyed helping Tommy at the Gas Station and Front End Repair Shop. She eventually went to work as a teacher's aide and at the Library at Spade. She was affectionately known as "Maw Maw" to everyone. She was very crafty and an especially talented crotchier. She liked to keep a clean house and a tidy yard. She liked to iron and could hardly stand for anyone's clothes to be wrinkled. She was quiet, friendly, warm, and welcoming, she never met a stranger. She loved her family dearly and found joy in watching/support her grandsons Dustin and Taylon and her great grandchildren in all that did. She was a member at the Anton Methodist Church. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tammy Garrett and husband Mike of Lubbock, TX; two grandsons, Dustin Garrett and wife Kristine of Lubbock, TX, and Taylon Garrett of Levelland; four great grandchildren, Stevie Garrett, Lennon Garrett, Julia Garrett and Oaklynn Garrett; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Enox; two brothers, H.C. Kesey and Raymond Kesey; three sisters, her twin Flotessia "Doll" Synatschk, Jo Boothe and Jessie Whitfield. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Anton Methodist Church with Tom Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Anton Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bussanmas, Alan Patschke, Josh Richardson, Jaret Richardson, Herman Synatschk, Tim Belcher, Daniel Carr and Tyson Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Byers, Glenn Patton, Eli Hinsz, Dee Neill, and Charles Neill. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, TX.
