Bio

Dennis Ray Werchan, age 71, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ March 14, 2023. He was born June 15, 1951, to Evelyn Skrhak and Herbert Werchan. Dennis lived most of his life in Georgetown, Texas, graduating from Georgetown High in 1969 and then Central Texas College. Dennis could be seen spending his free time fishing and boating at the lake with his family, grilling his famous BBQ chicken, hand churning homemade ice cream, and hours and hours of playing Taroks with kids and grandkids. He also had a special love for researching and documenting family history. He is preceded in death by parents and sister, Debra. He is survived by children Jessica, Brandon and Bryan as well as grandchildren Jacob, Grayson, Austin, Cooper, Brooklyn, and Logan. These grandchildren, who call him pawpaw, he loved immensely, and nothing made him happier than being with them. He also is survived by his former wife Nancy and his special mother-in-law Lena Lantzsch. His big bear hugs, movie nights, corny jokes, and big smile are already missed so much! Family plans a private celebration of life and burial.
