Wanda Lou Weems December 21, 1940 – January 31, 2025 Wanda Lou Weems, 84, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1940, in Wood County, Texas, to Edgar and Laverne Rushing Jones. Wanda grew up in Winnsboro, where she cultivated a life centered around faith, family, and love. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in cooking, gardening, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a woman of strong Pentecostal faith, which guided her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Ray Weems, who passed on October 2, 2015, as well as her brother, Jerry Jones, and sisters, Linda Paige and Guen Jones. Wanda is survived by her children, Billy Weems and wife Barbara, James Weems, and Brenda Gill; her sister, Vickey Tyler; her grandchildren, Jason Vaughn, Danny Weems, Jonathan Weems, Corey Weems, and Brandy Singleton; and her great-grandchildren, Kaylen, Dilon, Justin, Faith, Lariat, and Gage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
