Bio
Melvin Eugene Campbell, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003. Memorial services and burial of cremains will be at 2 p.m. March 15 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson. Mr. Campbell was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Gray, Okla. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. Survivors include his wife, Joy; two sons, Rod Campbell of Gresham, Ore., and Don Campbell of Guymon; two sisters, Los Reed of Horse Show Bend, and Joey Christine Pleasant of Tulsa; three brothers, David Campbell of Gulf Port, Miss., Luke Campbell of Oologah, and Robert Campbell of Tulsa; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
