Bio
Gladys went to be with our Lord on Friday, January 17, 2025, in Riverside, California, at the age of 94. She was born September 22, 1930, in Dibble, Oklahoma to Jerry & Iva Mae Gamble. On July 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Robert, and they were happily married for 71 years. Robert & Gladys moved to California and settled in Riverside in 1956. Gladys attended Cosmetology School and was a hairdresser for many years, while raising her three children. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her son Jerry (Patti), son Rondal, daughter Ruth (Michael); three grandchildren, Shannon (Felipe), Suzanne (Albert), Jarryd; and five great-grandchildren, Cigourney, Courtland, Archer, June & Anders. Gladys was a devoted and loyal wife & mother and was happiest being surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to play Bunco and dominoes with her girlfriends and enjoyed the occasional visit to a casino. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 6, 2025, beginning with a 9:30am viewing and 10:30am service at Sierra Chapel, 4933 La Sierra Ave., Riverside, followed by Interment at the National Cemetery at 1:00pm. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave., Riverside.
