Bio
Veronica Hattie Kellermeier Hatterman passed away on January 9, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1934, in Concho County, Texas, to Albert and Ida (Braden) Kellermeier. She attended Dry Hollow Grade School, Eola High School, and San Angelo College. After Veronica completed college, she worked in San Angelo, Texas City, and Houston. She often planned routes for parades and other events in Houston. Veronica also chose to enlist in the United States Naval Reserve. She was honorably discharged in 1966. Then she re-enlisted and continued her service until June 1968 when she was again honorably discharged. Melvin Hattermann and Veronica were married on July 20, 1968. Mr. Hatterman passed away on June 7, 1980. After Veronica retired, she moved to San Angelo and spent many hours visiting with her mother and her sister Cecilia. Veronica loved to sew. Her sewing skills were excellent. She was always working on a sewing project and had another one planned! Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia, Theodora, and Louse and brother Leo. She is survived by her sisters, Gladys (Bruce) Kubitz, Cecilia (Gus) Klaus and other family members. Services for Veronica will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 2308 A and M Avenue in San Angelo on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Her rosary will begin at 10:00 am and her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Committal service will begin at approximately 2:30 pm at Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Rowena, Texas. As Veronica was very fond of her cats; memorials in her name are suggested to the New Beginnings Animal Rescue, 7043 South US Hwy 277, San Angelo or a charity of your choice.
