Source: Stokely Funeral Home Paul Joseph Timmerman was born on June 24, 1940 to Clem and Helen (Stalp) Timmerman on the family farm west of West Point. He attended school at St. Boniface before graduating from Guardian Angels in 1958. Paul then served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964. After being honorably discharged, Paul returned to the family farm where he worked with his parents and brother, Leroy, where they also raised hogs and cattle. On April 9, 1988, he married Karen Riley at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey. The couple continued to live on the farm until Paul semi-retired in 2002 when they moved to West Point. Paul was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was very active in both St. Mary's and St. Boniface parishes and sang in both choirs. Paul was a member of the Cuming County Livestock Feeders, ASCS Committee, Cuming County Historical Society and O.L.B. Club. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, traveling and working around the house. Paul is survived by step-daughter, Michelle Petersen of Cameron, MO; step-son, Mark Barker of Maryville, MO; step grandchildren Dalton Erickson, Lydia Petersen, Brianna Wallace and Brandon Barker; sisters, Janet (Clarence) Brunnert of Blair and Rose (Bob) Decker of Waterloo; sister-in-law, Mary Timmerman of West Point; and many nieces and nephews. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Karen, in 2009, sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Clarence Heimann; brother, Leroy; and step-son, Kirk Wallace.
