Bio
Dorothy Mary (Ruzicka) Jez, 86, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2025. Dorothy was born in Abbott, Texas to her loving parents Frank Ruzicka Sr. and Bertha Elizabeth (Kucera) Ruzicka. She enjoyed playing dominos with her loved ones and would often take trips out to the lake house in Somerville. Dorothy could be found riding around in the golf cart and making memories with her family. This loving mother, "Nana", sister, and friend will be missed. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jez; her parents, Frank Ruzicka Sr. and Bertha Elizabeth Ruzicka; as well as her two brothers, Joseph "Joe" Ruzicka and Johnny Ruzicka. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Jez Peltier and her husband, John Frick, and Sandi Ivanovich and her husband, Rocco; grandchildren, Ali Girdley and her husband, Jordan, Tori Ray and her husband, Cody; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Girdley, Ella Ray, and Bryn Ray; brother, Frank Ruzicka Jr.; goddaughters, Donna Shea and Susan Klinkert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Chapel of Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will include Rocco Ivanovich, John Frick, Jordan Girdley, Cody Ray, Ricky Mutina, and Carl Trojcak.
