Bio

Shirley Ann Wilkins, of Durant, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 10, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on September 4, 1941, in Caddo, Oklahoma, to Herman and Birdie May (Templeton) Murray. Shirley's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family and the simple joys that create a life well-lived. Shirley loved being a homemaker and taking care of her home and family. Her hands were rarely still as she poured her heart into sewing and ensuring that everyone in her life was well taken care of. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Becky Pierce of Durant, Oklahoma, her granddaughter, Tammy Robinson, and her husband, Nick, of Durant, Oklahoma, and their daughter, Abigayle Robinson, her grandsons, Bud Cooper of Durant, Oklahoma, and Josh Pierce, along with his wife, Kristin, of Calera, Oklahoma, and their sons, Jace and Beau Pierce. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Herman and Birdie Murray, her husband, James Wilkins, and all of her siblings.
