in Memoriam BOWERY L. "BLINK" PRATER January 15, 1942 ~ December 31, 2024 Bowery "Blink" L. Prater, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the home of her daughter, Brook in Elgin OK. She was born January 15, 1942, in Decator, TX, the daughter of Allen Hearn and Jewell Inez Kuykendall. A member of the Redland Church of Christ, Blink was a follower of Jesus, who searched the Word of God for His truth and shared her faith with family and friends. She was an animal lover who enjoyed taking care of her cats and watching the local wildlife. Her artistic talents shone through in her quilting, gardening, and painting. She found joy in singing and playing music, often sharing her passion with those around her. Blink had a fierce love of her family and friends and treasured the time spent with them. Her warmth and laughter created lasting memories that will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hearn and Inez Kuykendall; husband, Bazz Prater; and her sister, Dallie Allen. Blink leaves to cherish her memory her children, Hardy and Gina Prater of Goodwater, OK, Martin Prater of Phenix City, AL, Brook and Ryan Scott of Elgin, OK; seven grandchildren, Jose, Chastin, Cole, Cade, Callin, Lily, Sadie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2024 at the Redland Church of Christ with Ryan Scott officiating.
