Johnny (Bean) and J. E. Childers were married 22 Apr 1906, certificate filed in Hunt county, Texas.\ Brownwood Bulletin (Brownwood, TX), 20 Jun 1963, Page 2 J. E. Childers, 77, Of City J. E. Childers, 77, of 1809 Waco Ave., a retired farmer, died at 1:20 a.m. today at his home here after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sorrells and Sons Funeral Home in Greenville, with burial in Clinton Cemetery near Greenville. Mr. Childers was born Sept. 4, 1885, in Tennessee, and moved to Brownwood in 1962 from Paducah. He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Childers of Brownwood; three sons, Delton M. Childers of Grosvenor, Melvin V. Childers of Dallas and Odell Childers of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Loreen Crabtree of Childress, 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
