Bio
Benjamin E. Keeth, 96, resident of the Peacock community since 1928, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday in the Hamlin Memorial Hospital. Funeral was held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Aspermont Church of Christ. Burial was in the Oriana Cemetery with Littlepage Funeral Home in charge. Jim Strait, minister officiated, assisted by the Rev. J. E. Lee of Plainview. Born in Kosciusko, Miss., Feb. 4, 1868, he moved from there when a child to Stringtown, Oklahoma. He moved from Stringtown in 1928 to the Peacock community where he farmed until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Belle Keeth of Aspermont; six daughters, Mrs. Hallie Darst of Hayward, Calif., Mrs. Blanche Morgan of Peacock, Mrs. Lois Myers of Fayetteville, Ark., Mrs. Alyne Morgan of Peacock, Mrs. Annabel Crook of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Dixie Tarrance of Aspermont; a number of stepchildren; one sister, Mrs. Etta Ellison of Clarksville; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
